ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
Reading is the ladder towards knowledge, a good education and the strengthening of one's own capacities by the human being. Unfortunately, the low human development, the incidence of rurality and the small number of reading centers in our regions do not promote excellent education. This further raises the issue of access to quality education for all.
We are committed to carrying useful books, sharing our reading and advising readers in our vulnerable regions. The image of children generally traveling between 10 and 20 km to reach the unique library of several large cities in Benin and especially Mono is what motivates us to create the opposite movement of books reaching readers wherever they are in rural and vulnerable areas.
The populations of the localities which will be served each day will be informed of the passage of the bookmobile by posting, through the press and via local officials. The book loan will be made possible against a small annual fee. The collection of our mobile library will be diverse: youth, adults, novels, history, school books, audio books, DVDs, CDs, visually impaired collections. Each member is provided with a membership card which allows those in charge to manage the outputs and returns of documents as well as delays in a computerized manner.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
Our mobile library will facilitate access to books and reconcile young people, children and other vulnerable targets with reading for an excellent education.
Your donations will help bring this mobile library project to life, which in its first phase aims to bring social equity through quality education for all, particularly in disadvantaged areas, rural areas, orphanages and prisons in Mono. You will thus commit with us to the achievement of sustainable development objectives 4 and 10. Your generosity will allow us to buy and fit out a vehicle, acquire the initial documentary fund, rent a room for the technical management of the project and recruit the mobile library team.
Do you have books, board games or even a vehicle for us? We would be delighted and would accept them with great joy. Your in-kind donations will be of great benefit to us.
If your donation is not anonymized, we will mention it in our various reports and platforms. The logos of legal persons will be shared in the visuals of the project and on our platforms as a partner structure.
